Hormonal imbalances, such as those seen in polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), thyroid dysfunction, or luteal phase defects, can predispose individuals to GDM and other pregnancy-related complications. Emerging technologies, such as continuous glucose monitors (CGMs), are enhancing real-time glucose control during pregnancy, ensuring better outcomes for both mother and baby.
