Female Reproductive Endocrinology

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), menopausal symptoms, and other endocrine conditions affecting women’s health often fly under the radar. Our members are dedicated to shining a light on these disorders to raise awareness, accelerate research, and improve clinical care.

Hormonal association between the nerve center, front pituitary organ, and ovaries manages the female regenerative framework. The nerve center secretes a little peptide, gonadotropin-delivering chemical (GnRH), otherwise called luteinizing chemical delivering chemical.

GnRH manages arrival of the gonadotropins luteinizing chemical (LH) and follicle-invigorating chemical (FSH) from specific cells (gonadotropes) in the foremost pituitary organ (see figure The CNS-hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal objective organ hub). These chemicals are delivered in short explodes (beats) each 1 to 4 hours. LH and FSH advance ovulation and invigorate discharge of the sex chemicals estradiol (an estrogen) and progesterone from the ovaries.
